“I had long ago come to the realization that life is a search, an inquiry, a quest. It has taken me around the world many times. We are all photographers. Our eyes take pictures for us continually without end in numbers too vast to count. One might say that we basically enter our consciousness through or by the use of pictures. Each of my pictures is a millisecond of magic, for in that moment in time that scene had become a part of me, and I was urged to record it. In that shot I danced with my soul.
Standing atop an 18,000 foot peak in northwestern Nepal and looking down on the clouds below me I felt an exaltation, a freedom, a singular silent strength I have only found on a mountaintop. Here one finds no urge to greed or ambition or arrogance, where I am quite sure I might lift my arm and touch the very gates of heaven.
We are in paradise. It is here -- it is now. The search is life itself -- the journey the only destination." Robert Radin
